The power of systematic investing. You can make a big impact on your retirement savings by starting early and setting aside a little bit each month. You can set up recurring monthly transactions into your Easy IRA for as little as $25 a month.

Quick Facts on IRA Contributions

  • Traditional IRA The maximum annual IRA contribution is $5,000 if you're younger than 50. Individuals age 50 and older can contribute up to $6,000. Contributions are often tax-deductible, and all transactions and earnings within the IRA have no tax impact. Withdrawals at retirement are taxed as income (except for those portions of the withdrawal corresponding to contributions that were not deducted). Owners must begin taking distributions by April 1 of the year after reaching age 70 1/2.
  • Roth IRA Contributions are made with after-tax assets. All transactions within the IRA have no tax impact, and withdrawals are usually tax-free.

  • NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
    COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
