Taking care of the community is important to H&R Block. In fact, we dedicated an entire organization to doing just that - The H&R Block Foundation. It's our way of investing in the metropolitan Kansas City area. By focusing our efforts, the Foundation is building stronger communities and better lives.

The H&R Block Foundation was incorporated on March 7, 1974, as a charitable organization under the nonprofit corporation law of the State of Missouri. Foundation funding emphasizes Education, Arts and Culture, Health and Mental Health, High Risk Youth, Neighborhood Development, Corporate Social Responsibility, and the United Way. In 1999, the Foundation provided $2,033,376 in grants.

Block Out TIME
The H&R Block Foundation has been supporting the building of healthy communities since its inception in 1974. However, H&R Block provides more than financial support. It also encourages employees to assist nonprofit organizations through volunteerism. Block Out TIME is our volunteer organization that directs these important projects.
