Community Involvement
At H&R Block, we put a premium on being a good corporate citizen. We're proud of the rich philanthropic tradition
established by our company founders, Henry and Richard Bloch. And their legacies live on in H&R Block's philanthropic endeavors today.
H&R Block Dollars & Sense
Our national philanthropic efforts are focused on increasing the financial fitness of teenagers. A large percentage of today's teens graduate without an understanding of how to properly manage their own finances. Knowing this, we created H&R Block
Dollars & Sense
™, a comprehensive initiative to help high school students learn the essentials of personal finance, like how to manage a debit card, balance a budget, handle taxes, save money and avoid debt.
H&R Block Dollars & Sense has provided more than $1 million in personal finance curriculum to high schools nationwide, rewards students with college scholarships and works to help parents talk to their teens about money and sound financial habits.
See how we're working to prepare the next generation of financially fit Americans.
Strength in Numbers
H&R Block's Strength in Numbers, a workplace giving and volunteering program, was founded on the belief that together we can make a greater impact on our community and the organizations that sustain it. Our associates invest their time, energy and resources in the communities we serve. Through Strength in Numbers, H&R Block supports more than 1,500 local and national community partners in the areas of youth development, health and human services, community revitalization, arts and culture, and literacy.
All of these initiatives are enhanced by
The H & R Block Foundation. Since 1974, this organization has worked to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve through thoughtful, innovative and responsible philanthropy.
The importance of giving back was rooted in H&R Block by our founders. We continue their commitment today.
