Phil Mazzini is Senior Vice President, Operations for H&R Block. In this capacity, he leads all company and franchise operational support for the business including Client Experience, Client Service, Gatekeeping and Deployment, Client Facing Associate Experience and Performance Support. He also works with the Chief Tax Network Officer to ensure all initiatives are executed to provide client, associate and shareholder value.
Mazzini joined H&R Block in 2004 as Vice President and Managing Director of H&R Block’s Mid-Atlantic Division retail operations. In this capacity, he was responsible for $300 million in revenue, 1,200 retail tax offices and a total of 12,000 full-time and seasonal associates. He also was a member of the company’s Retail Tax Leadership Team, which provided strategic direction to the overall retail business.
Prior to joining H&R Block, Mazzini spent 16 years in the consumer packaged goods industry, where he held various roles with Reckitt Benckiser, a leading global manufacturer, marketer and distributor of products sold under the brands: LYSOL, WOOLITE, RESOLVE, AIRWICK, SPRAY ‘N WASH, FRENCH’s, FRANK’s REDHOT and others. His roles included Group Country Managing Director of the company’s $150 million business in Greece, Cyprus, Macedonia and Albania; Global Category Director for the $900 million surface care category; General Manager for the U.S. Professional Products Business Unit, and various other product and brand management roles.
While at Reckitt Benckiser, Mazzini had an outstanding track record in the areas of new product innovation, global advertising, packaging development, margin improvement and revenue growth. Mazzini started his career in financial and sales management.
Mazzini holds a master’s of business administration from the University of Chicago. He has a bachelor’s of science degree from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Mazzini and his wife, Yannah, have four children.
