In his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Robert Turtledove is responsible for enhancing H&R Block’s brand, product, marketing and communication initiatives, as well as the company’s brand reputation.
Turtledove is a seasoned marketing executive with more than 25 years of consumer marketing experience. He has worked for and positioned some of the world’s most well-known brands, such as Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Frito-Lay and Lever Brothers. Previously, Turtledove was Chief Marketing Officer for TheLadders.com, the world's largest online employment service targeting the $100k+ executive job market. Prior to that role, he served as Chief Concept Officer and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Concept Development for Metromedia Restaurant Group. He was Vice President, Marketing for Pizza Hut International’s 4,000 restaurants around the world and Vice President, Product and Menu Development for Pizza Hut USA. His background also includes serving as the Chief Marketing Office for LiveAdvice.com, an Internet-based information service, and agency experience working for Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and Frito Lay's Tostitos and Lay's brands. His career in brand management began at Lever Brothers in South Africa.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Turtledove received his Bachelor of Business Science degree in marketing, business policy and economics with honors from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
