A large helping of tax mojo
* While you may always attempt to e-file, the IRS and state departments of revenue have stringent
e-file requirements. We'll tell you if we think your return contains an error that would prevent you
from e-filing and offer assistance to correct any errors before you attempt to e-file. However, some
returns just can't be e-filed and must be printed and mailed. If that's the case, we'll make it easy
by including mailing instructions with your printed return. And we'll also make ugly faces at the
computer with you.

Can Tango handle the Alternative Minimum Tax law changes?
Unless you need the rather obscure mortgage interest credit (different than the very common mortgage
interest itemized deduction) or the D.C. First Time Homebuyer's Credit, then yes, we've got you covered.
If you need one of those forms, we recommend that you use
TaxCut online.

Does Tango handle the tax rebates of the Economic Stimulus Act?
Yes. Actually, the rebate checks issued through the Economic Stimulus Act won't affect your 2007 tax
return. However, you must file a return this year in order to qualify to receive a rebate check. Let's
Tango!

Can my computer handle the power of Tango?
We certainly hope so. Tango was developed using a new Web technology. One of the system requirements for
running the application is 512 MB of RAM with at least 150 MB available and at least a 1.2 GHz processor.
You can check both the total and available RAM on your PC in three easy steps:
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc (we know that's three keys, but only one step) to access the Windows Task Manager.
- Click on the Performance tab.
- Look at the Physical Memory section: That should indicate a TOTAL greater than 512,000, and AVAILABLE greater than 150,000.
To check RAM on your Mac:
- Go to Applications.
- Select Utilities, then Activity Monitor.
- Select System Memory.
- Look at the Free and Total indicators.
If you are hovering around the minimum RAM, it would probably be a good idea to close any other programs.
They will reduce your available memory level. (You can see what other programs are running by clicking on
the
Applications tab in the
Task Manager. But, you must go to the specific application to
shut it down.)
