Wills, trusts, and powers of attorney not valid in Louisiana. This software is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney. Negotiating or drafting legal documents yourself could save you money on attorney fees, but may also expose you to risks. The facts of your personal situation, along with your state's specific laws, and changes in the law that may have occurred after the production of this software make it advisable to consult an attorney before finalizing any legal documents.
Choose from an extensive list of legal documents and forms, including wills, trusts, living wills, powers of attorney and estate planning.

Protect Your Family — WILLPower® guides you through primary estate planning, including wills and trusts.*

Take Advantage of Advanced Health Care Planning — Put your family at ease with a living will, health care power of attorney and more.

  1. What forms are included in WILLPower®?
With WILLPower, you can choose from a variety of wills and other estate planning and administrative documents. View the full list of forms and documents included in the software.

  2. How do I create a legal document using WILLPower?
With WILLPower, confidently creating legal documents is an easy, 3-step process.
    • Select. Find the right document quickly and easily with the Document Wizard.
    • Customize. Save time and create personalized documents through a simple interview process.
    • Finalize. Ensure your document is complete with the Final Checklist. Preview, print and sign.

  3. Does WILLPower take into account the state in which I live?
Yes. With WILLPower, you can draft state-specific wills, living wills/trusts, health care powers of attorney documents and more.

  4. Can I customize a document for myself and print it for my records?
Yes. WILLPower gives you the ability to customize any document template provided within the software. You can save and print any document you create. In fact, because changes in the laws may have occurred after the production of the software, it's advisable for you to take your printed document(s) to an attorney and seek his or her consultation before finalizing any legal documents.

  5. What is the difference between a trust and a living trust?
A trust is property held by one person as trustee for the benefit of another. The trustee holds the legal title of the trust property and the beneficiary holds the "equitable title" of the property. A living trust is a trust whose provisions are in effect during the lifetime of the person who established the trust. Also called an "intervivos" trust.

You can find the answers to many of the legal terminology questions you might have within WILLPower by using The Plain-Language Legal Dictionary (included within the software). Reference more than 7,000 legal terms, phrases and processes to help ensure you have a complete understanding of documents.

  • NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE
    COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
