Interest Expense
Include the following kinds of interest you paid in 2002:

  • Home mortgage interest for a first or second home.

  • Home equity loan interest for a first or second home.

  • Points you paid when you bought a home.

  • Investment interest, up to the amount of your investment income.

Do not include credit card interest, student loan interest, or other interest not mentioned above.
